Marcus

Tonight was the first time I heard the poetry of Marcus Jameel. He is a beautiful half-North-African half-Spanish gentleman who lives in Ottawa and makes words into art. So much of what happens in slam poetry is about the way words are delivered, and this guy was an incredibly powerful speaker. He has an uncanny resemblance to Barack Obama, especially when mid-poem. There is something so sexy about quietly confident and articulate men.
