Live From The Field

I’ve decided to share with you, dear readers, a little of my Sunday. This is a picture of how breakfast (made around 2) looked like. It was marvelous, and I devoured it slowly. Ingredients: a fried egg, a few pieces of meat, tomato, coffee made in a turkish brewer, Russian pickled cabbage (made by Mom!), salt and pepper to taste, and a good book (I’m reading ‘Eat Pray Love’ by Elizabeth Gilbert. It’s amazing. Seriously. Get your hands on a copy.) All this, topped off by a conversation with the lovely Anna Cheung, makes a recipe for the kind of mornings I absolutely adore. Also, since I’m updating this through e-mail, I hope the picture works out the way I want it to. My song for today, by the way, is “Breakthrough” by Queen. Maybe not a calm Sunday morning song, but it’s one of my favorites. The video is spectacular, too.
